The Formation of MD Group
The crux of the rebrand is our affiliated companies Milne Davidson Projects and Australian Commercial Labour merging to create a stronger, unified entity under the banner of MD Group. This strategic amalgamation allows them to combine strengths, share resources and expand their capabilities, to offer a more comprehensive range of services in the commercial sector. Melwood is also part of MD Group, but we are keeping our original name to honour our legacy.
By merging our expertise and resources MD Group is poised to deliver even greater results. Together, we’re better equipped to meet the ever-evolving needs of our clients, all while maintaining the high standards that our brands have become known for.
A recent example of our unified approach delivering exceptional results can be seen in our work on the STREAT Cafe in Richmond. Melwood took the lead in manufacturing and installing all of the café’s custom joinery, ensuring the highest level of craftsmanship. Meanwhile, MD Group’s team of carpenters expertly installed press metal door frames and doors in both the front and back of house areas, while our skilled plasterers completed the full plaster package throughout the entire café. This collaboration between our teams highlights the power of our integrated services, delivering a seamless and high-quality outcome for our client.
